Speaker 2 announced the bid opening and stated, "And this is the bid opening for the Metra new Westside concessions and a bid bond is required." Speaker 1 read the figures submitted: for Wyman Construction the transcript records two successive amounts, $346,927 and $346,009.27, and for Star Service Incorporated two successive amounts, $384,450 and $384,004.50. The board did not debate the bids on the record and instead moved to send them to staff.
Speaker 2 moved to refer the opened bids to staff for a recommendation back to the board; Speaker 1 seconded. The motion carried by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will review the bids, verify bid bonds and compliance with bidding requirements, and return a recommendation to the board for contract award or further action.
