Board notes resignation, retirements and schedules May meeting; approvals deferred

An Unidentified Board Member reported a resignation from the general employees board and said they are working with the city manager to have a new appointment in place before the large May meeting. The board also received an administrator's update on membership counts and retirements, which included references to upcoming retirements for Richard Langston (line crew leader, public works), Annette Hayes (utility billing) and Catherine Martin (permit specialist). The administrator also said BenchOne had distributed $138,000 this quarter, primarily from the general employees account.

The administrator corrected the time for the next scheduled meeting to 2 p.m. on May 11 (the board's large meeting), and said formal approvals for minutes and the investment report will be handled at that full meeting. The board agreed to monitor any need for a special meeting to handle rebalancing between now and May if market moves or cash-flow needs require it.
