The Yellowstone County Board voted April 4 to table action on the allocation of alcohol‑earmarked funds (consent‑agenda item 6c) for two weeks after a public comment requested additional coordination and site visits.
Melanie Schwartz, who identified herself with an address on Hayden Drive, said she had scheduled a tour for the three commissioners and was working to convene the three partner organizations being considered for the funds so they could avoid duplicating services and present a more coordinated plan. She asked that the board “table it for 2 weeks” to allow the tours and meetings to occur.
A motion was made to table agenda item 6c for two weeks; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners noted they looked forward to the Rimrock tour and additional information before allocating the funds.
The consent agenda was subsequently amended to reflect the tabling; the funding decision will return to a future meeting after the requested coordination and site visits.
