Water & Sewer committee recommends CS Group to lead 7th Street stormwater design

The Water & Sewer committee reported it evaluated stormwater RFP responses for the 7th Street corridor using a scoring rubric that considered experience, methodology, cost and timeliness. After individual scoring, the committee recommended moving forward with the proposal submitted by CS Group. Committee members noted that Olson Associates and Bartlett West also submitted proposals and that the recommendation reflects the committee's combined scoring.

Committee members emphasized that further work on corridor design is contingent on utility work in the area and possible grant opportunities informed by a future traffic study. The youth advisory committee also provided input that staff will consider as the project moves from the RFP stage toward design and possible grant applications.

Next steps: staff will continue procurement and scope negotiations with CS Group, pursue applicable grants tied to corridor and crossing improvements, and coordinate traffic-count timing for grant support.
