Whitefish City Council approves consent agenda, proclaims Arbor Day and confirms December scheduling

The Whitefish City Council moved and seconded approval of the consent agenda on Dec. 1; the motion was seconded by Councillor Quinell and the mayor stated the motion carried unanimously.

City Manager Dana reported she will be absent Wednesday through the following Tuesday for personal reasons and said she is "going to Vegas to marry my best friend." The mayor then read the annual Arbor Day proclamation, proclaiming Friday, April 24, 2026, as Arbor Day in Whitefish and encouraging residents to participate in tree‑planting and conservation activities.

Councilors also confirmed scheduling arrangements: a special work session is set for Dec. 15 to hold interviews and appoint committees and boards, and there will be no regular council meeting that second meeting in December. The mayor and councilors closed the meeting with holiday reminders and a request to support the North Valley Food Bank with donations.
