McCall council reappoints volunteers, fills P&Z seat and approves routine business

Council approved several routine and administrative items in a single block of business.

Appointments: Parks staff presented committee recommendations and the council voted to reappoint Randy Acker and appoint Eric Bunnell to three‑year terms on the Tree Advisory Committee. Meredith Todd reported a unanimous recommendation from the McCall Area Planning & Zoning Commission to reappoint Dave Petty to a three‑year term on that commission (term expiring November 2028); council approved that reappointment.

Routine business: Early in the meeting council approved the consent agenda and authorized the mayor to sign all necessary documents. The city clerk reviewed upcoming calendar items including a library grant application for automatic door openers, the Association of Idaho Cities events in early December and proposed split retreats (January governance retreat and late‑Feb/March budget work session). Council discussed venues and asked staff to circulate draft retreat agendas and dates.

Executive session: At the end of the open session council voted to enter executive session to consult with legal counsel regarding litigation and legal options pursuant to Idaho statute governing executive sessions.
