Alma City’s commission received Fishback’s statement of qualifications for design and construction work on wastewater treatment plant upgrades associated with the city’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) project.
Staff told commissioners the SRF timeline is compressed: the city must be out to bid for the improvements by April 1 under program deadlines. Fishback, an engineering consultant who previously helped prepare the SRF application, will prepare proposals and preliminary cost estimates and return those documents for the commission’s review and approval.
A representative from Fishback and city staff answered brief questions; commissioners approved receipt of the statement of qualifications by voice vote. Staff emphasized the need to keep the procurement process moving so the city can meet SRF milestones and preserve funding eligibility.
