Bountiful chooses CivicPlus to redesign city website; contract approved

Bountiful City Council voted to enter a contract with CivicPlus for a website redesign and hosting solution. Staff reviewed six proposals solicited in August and demoed CivicPlus sites that serve other Utah cities; CivicPlus was judged the best fit by a four‑person review team and offered the lowest overall cost among qualified providers.

Staff reported a first‑year cost of $30,746.40 (one‑time redesign) plus $6,008.91 in first‑year maintenance for a total first‑year cost of $37,637.40. The staff presentation said CivicPlus typically implements sites in 16–28 weeks, and the contract includes migration of archived minutes, agendas, codes and packet documents along with OCR to make PDFs searchable.

Council approved the contract by voice vote. Staff said the next steps include signing the contract, data migration, staff training and a future work session demonstration to the council to show the redesigned site and discuss optional enhancements.
