Fairfield mayor’s representative urges county to coordinate on annexation overlay

Sherry Anderson, speaking on behalf of the mayor of Fairfield, told the Planning Commission that Fairfield formally adopted and filed its annexation plan in August 2024 and that county staff had been provided the annexation overlay. She said a Quicksilver-related application submitted in February 2025 included areas Fairfield believes lie within its adopted annexation plan and asked that Fairfield be more involved when proposed project areas adjoin its boundaries.

Anderson requested the record reflect Fairfield’s prior filing and urged better intergovernmental coordination as county staff and applicants review future project areas.
