At the Nov. 18 Committee on Housing, Homelessness and Parks meeting, the following actions were ordered by the chair with no recorded objections:
• Bill 66 (2025) — Amended to CD1 (OCS 2025-0849) to add six trees to the city's exceptional-trees inventory; reported out for passage on second reading and scheduled for a public hearing.
• Resolution 25-295 — Confirmation of Catherine Chang to the Board of Parks and Recreation (term to 12/31/2030); reported out for adoption.
• Resolution 25-298 — Reappointment of Carla Hauser to the Board of Parks and Recreation (term to 12/31/2030); reported out for adoption after public testimony that included opposition and department rebuttal.
• Resolution 25-206 — Confirmation of Kevin d'Auge as Director of Housing and Land Management; reported out for adoption. Council members flagged priorities including a Kalaheo Hill infrastructure project with $20 million in city budgeted funds and a possible review of the Clean Water and Natural Lands Fund’s uses.
Each item will proceed to the full council for final action. The committee used the chair’s call for objections; where none were raised the chair ordered the items reported out.
