The Town of Morristown council voted on a set of ordinances and resolutions during its Nov. 13 meeting.
Ordinance O‑43‑2025 (rescinding a designated handicap parking space on Clyde Fox Drive, amending Section 7‑40.2 of the town code) was opened for public hearing; no members of the public spoke and the council voted unanimously to adopt the ordinance.
The council approved six consent resolutions (R‑144‑2025 through R‑149‑2025) by motion and then separately considered Resolution R‑135‑2025. That resolution authorizes the Town of Morristown to award a contract to Ben Shafer Recreation Inc. for replacement of playground equipment at Victor Woodhall Park through the Education Services Commission of New Jersey cooperative purchasing agreement. The council moved and seconded R‑135‑2025; members discussed outreach and a recent public session held at the senior center about the park revitalization and then voted to adopt the resolution.
Council members thanked Detective Vanessa Appel and administrative staff for their work advancing the park project and noted the Open Space Trust Fund will support future park efforts. Votes on recorded items were unanimous where taken.
