Comal County to launch new .gov website Nov. 18, officials say

Tiffany Peace, a county information-technology official, said Comal County will unveil a redesigned website — comalcounty.gov — on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at about 9:30 a.m. Peace said the move to a .gov domain is intended to improve security and public trust because dot-gov domains are verified by the federal government.

"Visitors to the new site will notice a modern change, clearer navigation, and easier access to the information and services they use most," Peace said. She told the court the upgrade is part of the county's ongoing work to improve transparency, accessibility and digital security.

The announcement followed the court's routine business and drew no questions from commissioners. Staff said the site launch will be public-facing and emphasized the security advantages of a verified .gov domain, which prevents impersonation by unofficial pages.
