Performance Evaluation Committee presents updated reallocation policy for future approval

Carrie Dietz, chair of the Performance Evaluation Committee, presented an updated reallocation policy to the Homelessness Planning Council on Nov. 12 that clarifies procedures for moving Continuum of Care (CoC) funds when agencies underperform or voluntarily reallocate resources.

Dietz said the policy outlines voluntary and involuntary reallocation, gives discretion to the PEC and HPC to prioritize permanent supportive housing and ensure effective use of funds, and aims to be flexible to respond to changing community needs. She said the draft has included public comments and will be refined before a vote.

Council members noted the topic was not listed as an action item on the day’s agenda; Metro Legal and PEC will complete remaining review and return the refined policy for consideration at a future meeting.
