Edmond welcomes new city manager AJ Krieger; council rejects settlement in pending litigation

Before adjourning into executive session, the mayor introduced AJ Krieger as the new city manager and noted it was Krieger’s first day on the job. Krieger thanked the council and said he looked forward to serving in Edmond.

The council then held an executive session per the agenda. After returning to open session the council took no action on item 11C and subsequently considered item 11D, relating to pending litigation styled City of Edmond v. Spector Holdings, LLC and County Treasurer for Oklahoma County. A council member moved to reject a settlement proposal received Oct. 30, 2025; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously, 5-0.

Council did not provide details of the settlement terms in the public session, but the motion and vote rejecting the proposal were recorded in the meeting minutes.
