Abilene library board approves corrected minutes and recommends pending book orders

The Abilene Library Board on Nov. 10, 2025, approved corrected minutes from its Aug. 4, 2025, regular meeting and voted to recommend approval of pending book orders to the library director.

The actions were taken during the board’s regular meeting after the presiding member called for any corrections to the minutes. A motion to approve the corrected minutes was made, seconded and carried without recorded dissent. Later, the board reviewed the on-order catalog, noted that no public comments had been received on pending orders, and moved to recommend those pending book orders; that motion also carried.

Board members did not record individual named votes in the transcript. The presiding member said the board’s recommendation on book orders will be sent to the library director, who will oversee final purchase and fulfillment.

Public comment was opened and closed with no speakers. No further board direction or amendments to the minutes or book orders were recorded.
