Octorara Area School District officials on Nov. 10 presented a package of personnel appointments, resignations and vendor contracts that the board will consider at its Nov. 17 public meeting.
Board President (presiding) told directors that Joe Lynch will serve as musical production director (8 points at $620 each) and Kristen Testerman will serve as musical production assistant (6 points at $620 each). He also listed a series of personnel appointments and resignations set for board action, including the hire of Jasmine McKim as an instructional assistant at the Primary Learning Center (rate cited as $15 per hour for 5.75 hours per day) and the acceptance of resignations for Erin Sullivan (instructional assistant) and others.
The president summarized vendor and software items that will appear on the Nov. 17 agenda. The board was told a quote from Frontline Education for personnel tracking services would be effective Dec. 31, 2025, through June 30, 2027, at a cost of $18,403.18 plus a one-time startup fee of $4,400. The president said the district will approve cancellation of the eFinance software system with PowerSchool effective Feb. 28, 2026, and will extend financial system services through the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) through June 20, 2026, at a cost cited as $15,117.72.
Facilities and environmental services items were also listed for board consideration: a Fry Lutz quote of $2,995 for emergency ductwork repair at Octorara Area High School, and an addendum to a contract with Environmental Control Systems, Inc., for engineering, environmental management consulting and asbestos control services through June 30, 2029.
The president read a slate of supplemental coaching and advisor contracts for 2025–26 with point totals and dollar figures, including Joe Lynch (yearbook advisor), Dominic London (junior high boys basketball), Kristen Martin (head varsity softball) and others; exact point-to-dollar conversions were supplied in the meeting.
None of these items were voted on at the Nov. 10 meeting; they were presented as items on the Nov. 17 agenda. The board did record routine attendance and later adjourned the meeting.
Next steps: the district will bring the listed personnel actions, vendor contracts and software transition to the Nov. 17 board meeting for formal motion and vote.
