Wright County trustees for the drainage districts met Oct. 27 after the Board of Supervisors recessed. Trustees approved drainage minutes, reviewed five work orders across multiple districts and approved an invoice from Mossdam Construction for $1,074.50 for DD 105 in Section 30 of Grant Township.
Drainage administrator Courtney Morris summarized the work orders: a blowout on an 18‑inch tile in DD 41 (Section 36, Wall Lake); a washout at a tile intake in DD 36 (Section 29, Lake Township); a beaver dam in DD 14 (Section 5, Lincoln Township); multiple blowouts along 14‑inch tile in DD 105 Lateral B (Section 13, Lake Township); and two blowouts on 24‑inch tile in DD 97 (Section 3, Vernon Township). Trustees reviewed contractor preferences where provided and noted some contractors indicated work may be delayed until spring.
Morris also reported that a county crew began repairs at a location later identified as a district asset; she instructed the landowner to submit a formal work order. Administrator Brandon Meyer reported a recurrence of a back injury and Morris said she will reassign his outstanding work orders to other contractors after confirming whether the work is complete.
Trustees approved the lone drainage claim presented for payment (Mossdam Construction, $1,074.50) and adjourned the drainage trustees meeting.
