Board of Finance elects Liz Lochek interim chair; Kim Persson named vice chair

The Town of Andover Board of Finance elected Liz Lochek as interim chair at its Oct. 22 meeting and later named Kim Persson vice chair.

Kim Persson nominated Lochek for the interim post and Louise seconded the nomination. Lochek told members she was "willing and able" to serve on an interim basis. The chair called for a voice vote; the measure passed with no nays and one abstention. Outgoing chair Mark handed the meeting over to Lochek.

The board then opened nominations for a vice chair. Members nominated Bill for vice chair, but that motion failed on a tie vote. Louise moved to elect Kim Persson as vice chair (motion seconded), and the motion carried after a roll-call with a majority voting in favor, two nays and one abstention.

No additional conditions or changes to the board's bylaws were made; Lochek and Persson are serving in the posts on an interim basis pending the board reconstituting after the upcoming election cycle.

The votes took place during the board's regular meeting and were recorded by voice and roll call.
