Hawk Nature Trail opened in Farmington Hills after $61,000 in community donations

Farmington Hills — At a short public trail walk, speakers said the Hawk Nature Trail was developed with $61,000 in community donations and invited residents to use the new path.

Speakers emphasized the trail’s proximity to local landmarks and the role of donors in funding construction. “I think this trail is amazing. I think it's gonna be a great asset for our city. I spend quite a bit of time at the Hawk. I use the makerspace quite often and to be able to come out here before or after and just relax and be around nature in the middle of our great city is gonna be really fun,” said a Resident who spoke at the walk.

The event speaker noted the total community contribution and named several donors. “With $61,000, we're able to develop this entire trail all from community support,” the Event speaker said, adding that “Michigan Schools and Bridal Union” donated $1,000, and that the Annapurna Foundation and Mercedes Benz Financial also contributed.
