Commission elects chair and records votes on consent calendar and officers

At the July 17 meeting the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission conducted standard organizational business and recorded votes on the consent calendar and leadership nominations.

Consent calendar: Commissioner Haven moved to approve the consent calendar; Commissioner Melman seconded. The roll‑call vote recorded five yeses and one absent; the clerk announced the motion passed.

Chair election: Commissioner Golokota nominated Commissioner Wilson for chair; Wilson accepted the nomination. A roll‑call vote recorded five yeses and one absent; the commission recorded Commissioner Wilson as elected chair.

Vice‑chair nominations and votes: Commissioner Melman was nominated for vice chair and the commission recorded a roll‑call outcome of four yeses, one abstain and one absent on that nomination. The commission then voted on Commissioner Beagle for vice chair and recorded five yeses and one absent in favor during that tally. The meeting minutes show both tallies; the commission did not issue a further procedural clarification on the floor after the second vote.

Ending: Staff will notify appropriate offices of the newly elected chair and vice‑chair list and the clerk will update the roster.
