Tabitha’s Way reports serving 2,691 Springville households last year; invites council and residents to ribbon cutting and Feed Utah drive

Wendy Osborne of Tabitha’s Way local food pantries told the Springville City Council that the pantry served 2,691 Springville households last year, representing 9,317 Springville residents who used the free pantry.

Osborne thanked the council and the community for support and described seasonal patterns of need: donations typically increase during the holiday season but decline in summer months when school meal programs are not available and family demand rises. She said the pantry will participate in the statewide Feed Utah food drive on March 15 with three drop-off locations (Springville Macy’s; Spanish Fork Macy’s; and the Spanish Fork Tabitha’s Way pantry) and invited local residents to drop off donations from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Staff said donated food will be distributed directly to families served by Tabitha’s Way.

Osborne also invited councilmembers and residents to a ribbon-cutting for Tabitha’s Way’s new, larger Spanish Fork facility, which staff said roughly doubles the previous space and was needed because the pantry was serving about 100 households every three hours at its previous location. She left QR-coded cards for council offices for RSVP and encouraged attendance.
