Senator Borah withdraws amendment; Committee of the Whole recesses

The chair of the Committee of the Whole said the body resumed its session and that an earlier ruling that a member was out of order had not been complied with, and that the body had recessed until 6 p.m. The chair later recognized Senator Borah on an amendment, and Borah withdrew the amendment.

Senator Borah said, "I'm just going to withdraw this amendment, withdraw this amendment, the amendment at this time, Mr. Chair." On the motion for Senator Borah to withdraw his amendment, the chair asked if there were any objections, and, "Seeing and hearing no objections, amendment has been removed," the chair said.

After the removal of the amendment, the chair said, "I'm going to to close chapter 2 part 1." A senator asked, "Isn't there 1 more?" The chair then recessed the body. Near the end of the transcript the chair stated, "We are in recess until 2PM tomorrow."
