The Agricultural Labor Relations Board convened at 10:02 a.m. with Acting Chair Flores presiding and an in-person quorum present in Sacramento.
The board approved the meeting minutes from Sept. 3, 2025. Board member Bridal moved the motion; Board member Hall seconded. The presiding officer called the vote; members present said “aye,” and one board member abstained because they were not present at the Sept. 3 meeting. The chair stated the motion carried.
In the acting chair’s report, Flores noted that Governor Newsom signed AB 288 into law the previous day and that the bill included amendments clarifying that “AB 288 will not affect the jurisdiction of the ALRB.” Flores presented that clarification to the board as part of the report; no board action was taken on the statute.
The board recessed into closed session after the public-comment period. The board returned to open session, took announcements about the next regular meeting (scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.), and then moved to adjourn. Board member Broad moved to adjourn; Board member Lightstone seconded. The board voted unanimously to adjourn at 10:50 a.m.
No public comments were made during the open-session public-comment period; the executive secretary said no members of the public had signaled a wish to speak.
