Senior Life Solutions to open Portola program Oct. 23; director introduced to commission

Commissioners were introduced to Kathleen McCoy, who will serve as program director for a new Senior Life Solutions location in Portola. McCoy said the program will begin seeing patients on Oct. 23 and will serve surrounding communities within approximately a 30-mile radius.

"My name is Kathleen McCoy, and I'll be the program director at Senior Life Solutions in Portola, California," McCoy told the commission, giving her contact phone and email in the meeting chat for referrals and questions.

Representatives from the parent company and the local program emphasized the program will serve Portola, Loyalton and nearby communities and said they look forward to collaborating with county agencies and local referral sources. A representative called Wanda thanked commissioners for their time and said the program intends to advocate for seniors in the surrounding communities.

No formal action was required; commissioners asked staff to circulate McCoy's contact information to county partners and to note the program's opening date in future referral materials.
