Magistrate notes correction of oversized vehicle parking violations at Pigeon Cove property

Special Magistrate Kristen Ike found that violations for restricted vehicle parking and on‑site debris at 3179 Pigeon Cove Street had been corrected and imposed no fine, but warned the owner that repeat violations within five years could be treated as repeat offenses with larger fines.

Code compliance officer Steve Brockhoff described photographs taken Aug. 29 and Sept. 29 that showed multiple trailers, boats and other vehicles parked behind the residence, exceeding the two‑vehicle limit for side/rear yards under City Code §66-18(h). Brockhoff said the owner cleaned up the property and the pictures taken at the hearing reflected compliance.

The magistrate entered an order finding the respondent had been in violation but had corrected the condition and therefore imposed no fine. The magistrate added that any repeat violation of the same code within five years could be treated as a repeat violation subject to fines up to $500 per day.
