Student trustees updated the Jefferson Union High School District Board of Trustees on activities at their campuses, including senior exhibition deadlines, cultural events and a mural project.
A student from Oceana said the school’s third senior exhibition deadline is Feb. 14 and that the Associated Student Body is running a wildfire relief drive. The Westmore student trustee said the school has Black History Month programming, Lunar New Year lunchtime events, a large FBLA delegation heading to a leadership conference and volunteer activities by Key Club. A Thornton student trustee said the school’s mural-design workshop opened and that 20 students will visit Año Nuevo State Park; the trustee also confirmed the Class of 2025 graduation site as the Pacelli Event Center in Daly City.
Trustees thanked the student representatives and noted that members of the board had recently attended the district student advisory meeting.
The reports were given during the board’s communications section and were informational; no board action or direction was recorded related to the student reports.
