Pullman School District leaders told the board they are exploring a fleet-management agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management through the Sourcewell cooperative, with potential benefits around acquisition, vehicle resale and lifecycle replacement.
Superintendent Dr. Courtney Maxwell said Enterprise offers acquisition and resale options, customized vehicle specifications, and could help the district replace vehicles at an optimal five-year point to maximize resale value and reduce maintenance and fuel costs. She noted that newer vehicles have added safety features implemented in later model years.
Maxwell said this was the first of two presentations; district staff will provide vehicle inventory and mileage to Enterprise for a formal analysis and return with numbers showing potential savings or no-savings options in two to four weeks.
No procurement decisions were made at the meeting; the district's engagement with Enterprise remains exploratory.
