College Place reports progress on several housing projects, including apartment and subdivision starts

City Administrator Mike Ristelho said multiple housing projects are moving forward in and around College Place.

Ristelho said homes at Mill Creek (part of the Villages/Garrison Creek development) are under construction as the final two phases begin. He said the long-dormant Villages of Fort Walla Walla apartment development, by the Farrin Group, has financing in place and that two apartment buildings plus a clubhouse may be constructed this summer. Ristelho also said College Holdings/Lakeside Group is preparing an application for a development on the Craig Christiansen property off Regina Road; once the community development director deems the application complete, a hearing examiner process with public notices will follow.

Ristelho said the city needs a variety of housing types and encouraged residents to watch for public notices related to development hearings this summer.
