County opens bids for Justice Building renovations and clerk’s office work; awards to be decided May 6

Kosciusko County opened three bids for renovation and construction work in the Justice Building and clerk’s office; county staff read the bids at the meeting and said contract awards will be decided at the board’s May 6 meeting.

County staff reported three bidding firms and multiple line items. Shingle Construction submitted a bid of $100,139 for work on the public defender’s office. Clint Davis Construction submitted bids described as $48,208 for separation walls and $72,370.99 for the public defender’s new office space. Robinson Construction submitted bids for multiple project parts, with entries recorded as $14,394 for Project 1, $37,524 for Project 1b, and a base price of $87,774 for Project 2. County staff said the bids are available for review in the county office and will be considered and awarded at the board’s May 6 meeting.

No formal action was taken at this meeting beyond the bid opening and scheduling of award decisions.
