Board approves CB Development as owner's representative for Coopertown renovation and up to $350,000 for furniture

The Haverford Township School District board on Thursday approved an owner's representation services proposal with CB Development Inc. for the construction phase of the Coopertown Elementary School renovation and additions project and authorized purchase of furniture for the project not to exceed $350,000.

Board members voted to hire CB Development Inc. as the owner's representative for the construction phase. The motion was moved and seconded and passed without further amendment. Trustees then approved the planned furniture purchase for new Coopertown learning spaces, using two COSTARS vendors: Corbett Incorporators (COSTARS 035E23197) and NextGen Furniture (COSTARS 035E22189). The combined purchase is capped at $350,000.

During discussion, a board member asked staff to describe the furniture needs. Facilities staff said the order would furnish new classrooms, new desks and chairs, principal offices and additional kidney‑shaped tables to fit the renovated and expanded learning spaces.

Facilities was assigned to oversee procurement and installation; the purchasing action is consistent with the Coopertown project budget as presented to the board.
