The executive director screening committee of the Commission for Behavioral Health met in a virtual session to review candidates for the commission's vacant executive director post and returned from closed session without taking action.
Chair Jay Robinson opened the meeting and confirmed remote participation rules before the committee established a quorum. "Welcome to the executive director screening committee meeting of the Commission for Behavioral Health," Robinson said. Staff opened a public-comment period for the closed-session agenda item but received none; "We currently do not have any public comments," Mariani said.
The committee noted a quorum requirement of a minimum of five commissioners for business and reminded remote participants to disclose any adults in the room and to remain on camera. Commissioners were instructed to join a second, separate link to participate in the closed session; the open meeting record shows the group returned to open session at 5:30 p.m. Commissioner Cross, who presided upon return, reported, "No action was taken during the closed session." The meeting adjourned without formal votes or public decisions recorded on the executive director appointment.
No next steps or further public meeting dates to advance the appointment were specified during the open session.
