South Charleston council approves invoices for Liberty Street lift station rehabilitation

The South Charleston City Council approved a resolution authorizing payment of invoices related to design, construction and other services for the Liberty Street lift station rehabilitation project.

Martin read the resolution to the council as relating to the Liberty Street lift station. Arnette told the council the lift station is located near Jefferson Park under the interstate and described it as the largest station in the city's sewer operation: "This is the station that takes all the sewer from the old from Grama Valley and South Charleston to the treatment plant. So this is the biggest station of our in our operation," Arnette said.

Council members moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by voice vote. The resolution authorizes payment of invoices tied to the rehabilitation work; the transcript did not state dollar amounts or specific vendor names for these invoices.
