The Livingston County Board on Oct. 16 approved a slate of routine fiscal and administrative measures including budget items, sealed‑bid sales, a budget transfer and an equipment purchase.
On the finance committee’s recommendations, the board accepted the presentation of the 2026 budget levies and capital expenses and approved two related sealed‑bid sales: one for mobile homes and one for real estate. The board also approved a FY2025 budget transfer and accepted the low bid for a prisoner transfer van. Committee chairs and county staff were present for the budget and procurement items.
The board took the following formal actions (roll-call votes recorded at the meeting): approval of the agenda and minutes; approval of the consent agenda (a classification change to PS‑3 accounting assistant and approval of the bills); adoption of the finance committee motions to proceed with sealed‑bid auctions for mobile homes and real estate; approval of the FY2025 budget transfer; and acceptance of the low bid for the prisoner transfer van. The sheriff/jail committee also approved a raffle license for Tarble Tone Masonic Lodge No. 351.
Several members complimented county staff, including recognition for Alina Hartley’s 20 years of service. The board also reminded the public of upcoming county events including an e‑recycling event on Oct. 25 and a veterans’ lunch on Nov. 9.
Where available, the board recorded roll-call votes for each item; the meeting transcript contains the roll-call sequence for each motion.
