Miami Beach honors Bella Cuba restaurant on 20th anniversary

The Miami Beach City Commission on May 28 presented a certificate recognizing Bella Cuba restaurant (also referred to in remarks as Bellacuba) for 20 years serving the community near Lincoln Road.

Commissioners described the restaurant—established in 2005 by the Jimenez family—as a community fixture that has donated food to local charities and partnered with organizations such as All Souls Church to support unhoused residents. Speakers highlighted the restaurant’s role in preserving Cuban culinary traditions and supporting community events.

Representatives from the restaurant accepted the recognition and thanked the commission and the community for two decades of patronage. The recognition was ceremonial and did not include budget or regulatory actions.
