At the June 4 meeting the Board of Selectmen held public hearings and approved three temporary-event permits.
All Saints Episcopal Church — All Saints requested a permit for its summer fair on July 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 258 South Main Street (permit 2025-40). Candace Tornado (representing All Saints) described the event briefly and the board voted to issue the permit.
Granite State V & A / Clark Museum — Barbara Lobdell, representing Granite State V & A, asked the board to include the Clark Museum Complex (233 South Main Street) on the Hospice Home & Garden tour on July 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The board moved and voted to issue permit 2025-41; Lobdell said she would coordinate with Police for parking and stewarding.
Brewster Academy cross-country race — The board received a request from Brewster Academy to host a cross-country race on Sept. 24 at Abenaki Trails (390 Pine Hill Road) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Selectmen asked staff to confirm the course stays on previously used trails, avoiding spray fields and active construction; board approved permit 2025-42 with that condition noted in discussion.
Ending: The board closed the hearings and issued the three permits; staff will follow up with the event organizers on traffic, parking and safety coordination with police as needed.
