Pelham board approves 13 personnel changes; superintendent says teacher interviews ongoing

The Pelham City Board of Education approved 13 personnel actions — seven resignations or retirements, four employments, one transfer and one nonrenewal — at its June 4 meeting.

Dr. Ledbetter presented the personnel slate and told the board that interviews for teacher openings are ongoing, with several candidates being interviewed during the week. He said many openings are expected to be filled by the next board meeting. The personnel motions were approved by voice vote.

The board did not provide names of the employees affected in the public portion of the transcript nor dollar amounts for any personnel-related costs. The transcript records no recorded roll-call vote; motions were approved by voice vote with members saying “aye.”
