The Morgan County Commission on June 4 approved a set of routine items including a correction to the minutes, two appointments and a depository resolution.
Commissioners voted to approve the May 21 minutes with one correction under administration: a sentence involving deed documents for five acres at the new hospital off Prairie Drive was clarified before approval. Commissioner Forte moved to approve the minutes with that correction; the motion carried.
The commission appointed Jimmy Reed to the Ward County Fire Board after a nomination from the emergency association; the motion to appoint Reed passed on a voice vote. The commission also appointed Ron Davis to the Region 9 Planning and Development Council to serve a one-year term effective June 30, 2025, expiring June 30, 2026.
The commission adopted its annual depository resolution naming the county’s approved depositories for the coming fiscal year; commissioners read the list as part of the resolution and the motion carried.
No contested votes or roll-call tallies were recorded in the public remarks during those items; commissioners indicated routine approval with a voice vote.
