Commission previewed recommended allocations of earmarked alcohol‑tax funds among local treatment providers

County staff presented Contract 25-60 and sought the commission’s preference for designating federally earmarked alcohol‑tax monies distributed by Montana DPHHS for chemical dependency services, as authorized by Montana Code Annotated 53-24-206.

Staff described last year’s distribution (Many Rivers 50%, Alliance for Youth 25%, Dynamic Recovery 12.5%, Misfits LLC 12.5%). Alliance for Youth requested 30% this year; Dynamic Recovery submitted an annual report and requested increased allocation. The presenter recommended reallocating shares to Alliance for Youth 30%, Dynamic Recovery 30%, Many Rivers 20% and Misfits 20% and said that recommendation will be brought to the regular meeting for formal action.
