Board approves Warren County Fair parade road closures and loud-noise exemption

The Warrenton Board of Aldermen on June 3 approved road closures for the Warren County Fair Parade planned for June 29 and granted an exemption for loud-noise time constraints for the fair, both motions carried 6-0.

A parade representative attended the meeting but did not speak at length; the board discussed the parade route briefly and asked no substantive questions. Alderman Schultz moved to approve the road-closure request and the motion passed by recorded voice/roll-call vote. A separate motion to approve an exemption for time constraints on loud noise was moved by Alderman McCarter and seconded by Alderman Roemaker and also passed 6-0.

The city clerk recorded the votes by roll call; aldermen confirmed there were no objections. No conditions or special mitigations were placed on the approvals during the meeting.
