Sussex County commissioners approve amended agenda and table Item 11

The Sussex County Board of County Commissioners approved an amended agenda May 28, 2025, and tabled Item 11 to the next meeting, the board said during its meeting at the Sussex County Administrative Center in Newton.

During the meeting the presiding officer noted that “Item 11 is being tabled to the next meeting.” A motion to approve the agenda as amended was offered, and the motion was seconded; Deputy Director Space voiced a second during the roll call. The motion to adopt the amended agenda carried after the board responded in the affirmative.

The meeting record in the public portion does not include a detailed roll‑call vote tally for the agenda approval. Commissioners present included Director Carney, Deputy Director Space, Commissioner DeGroot, Commissioner Hayden and Commissioner Henderson. The agenda item that was tabled was not discussed further in the public portion of the meeting.

The board then moved on to a proclamation and announced an executive session later in the agenda. No substantive discussion of Item 11’s subject matter occurred in the public portion of the meeting; the item will return at a subsequent meeting.
