Council approves temporary use agreement for construction staging on city property

The City Council on May 27 approved a temporary use agreement permitting the placement of construction trailers and storage of materials on city‑owned property, subject to a delineated area shown in the meeting packet.

Finance Committee Chair Jeff Watson presented the item and noted discussion at the committee level focused on parking and placement of construction staging. Staff confirmed a provision was added to the temporary use agreement that "all construction trailers and materials shall be stored in the area shown on the attached exhibit," and said the contractor agreed to place fencing, office and storage south of the parcel line, shown in yellow on the exhibit (red page 104 of the packet).

Council approved the resolution to authorize execution of the temporary use agreement. The motion carried 5‑0 (one councilmember was temporarily absent for the vote). Staff said the agreement includes exhibit‑based limits on staging location and other conditions discussed at committee.
