Boyer Properties introduced a redevelopment proposal for the southeast corner of Wicker Avenue and 90th Avenue and the commission agreed to publish a public hearing for July. The project would demolish an existing corner office building and a small dental office and create a two-lot subdivision with a proposed two-story community bank (Old Plank Community Bank) and an office for Wind Trust Financial.
Developer Bruce Boyer said the bank building would be set back from both roadways and that the proposal includes reworked access and parking, a relocated driveway on 90th and a right-in/right-out access on Wicker Avenue. He asked the commission to publish both a rezone (from C-2 to PUD) and the primary plat for public hearing on the July 16 meeting.
Commissioners voted to publish the rezone and primary plat; the project will return to a future study session and be noticed for formal public hearing in July. The developer said the design will address access and parking changes and present more detailed plans at the next study session.
