The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District governing board on June 26 approved the district's 2025–28 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the 2025 federal addendum, and received the state-required local indicator report.
The LCAP establishes district priorities for the next three years and guides spending tied to the Local Control Funding Formula. Trustees described the LCAP as comprehensive and praised staff for candidly identifying focus areas.
"The scope and the depth of the work that has been performed in this LCAP is breathtaking," Trustee Tilley said during the meeting, urging support for the plan. Trustees said the plan was developed with input from parents, students and community members and emphasized student achievement as a top focus.
The federal addendum to the LCAP, also approved by motion, supplements the LCAP to capture federal program requirements. Assistant Superintendent Dr. McCabe presented the local indicator report required by state law and noted the report was submitted in the same meeting to meet compliance requirements.
Trustees adopted the documents by motion; the board's recorded votes were "Aye" with no opposition reported for the items. Board members said the LCAP will guide district priorities but that the plan is designed to allow flexibility if circumstances change.
The board will return in future meetings with monitoring reports and implementation updates tied to the LCAP goals and local indicator metrics.
