Rockingham County officials reported on June 26 that the county’s new solar array passed a witness inspection and that the utility (Eversource) indicated the system met requirements. Staff said they expect written documentation the following day that will enable the county to claim an expected rebate and begin earning net‑metering credits.
Facilities and project staff said a few remaining administrative steps include signing standard certifications required for incentive applications and addressing a permitting comment from the state division of traffic about the site driveway. Project staff said they will forward completed certifications to county administrative staff for signature and suggested placing any final items on a future agenda if the board wishes to review them.
Commissioners and the facilities director also reported that planting and site work continue, that water‑main crossing work under North Road was nearly complete, and that mechanical and generator permitting remains outstanding for one site item. Staff said they expect an October move date for related building relocations and will coordinate temporary generators and shutdowns with long‑term care services when necessary.
