Board approves $169,500 AV equipment purchase to finish classroom upgrades using bond funds

The Forest Grove School District board voted July 1 to approve a purchase order amendment for classroom audio‑visual upgrades, using bond funds, to complete work scheduled for this summer.

Technology staff said the district had previously approved purchases and identified Data Center Warehouse as the lowest‑cost vendor for the remaining items. The additional purchase covers Epson interactive short‑throw projectors and accessories to finish the project; the total cost presented to the board was $169,500.

A motion to approve the purchase of the classroom video equipment upgrade from Data Center Warehouse, utilizing bond funds, carried on an all‑in‑favor voice vote. Board members did not request additional information at the meeting; staff will proceed with amending the existing purchase order and scheduling installation work during the summer window.

The presenter identified the purchase as part of the district’s bond‑funded capital program and said contractors surveyed classrooms and recommended the additional items for completion this summer.
