Council appoints three members to Planning and Zoning Commission

The Copperas Cove City Council on July 1 appointed new members to its Planning and Zoning Commission to fill positions 3, 4 and 5 after council nominations and a voice vote.

Development Services Director Bobby Lewis told council staff had received four applications and recommended council review them for three open seats. Council members nominated Bernadette Wolf, Joshua Checke and a third nominee identified in the meeting record as Andrew (last name as provided in the application packet); council voted to approve the three nominees by voice vote.

Lewis’s presentation said staff had publicly posted the vacancies and attached the four submitted applications for council consideration. Council provided no additional discussion and approved the appointments during the meeting’s action items.

The appointments will be recorded in the commission roster and staff will follow up with onboarding and scheduling for the Planning and Zoning Commission.
