The University of Alabama System Compensation Committee approved compensation items for two individuals: an enterprise project manager and president-elect Peter Moller.
The committee unanimously approved the enterprise project manager employment contract and the compensation package for Peter Moller, the system’s president-elect, after presentations by Dr. Dan Lazell and Chancellor Sid Trant.
Dr. Dan Lazell, vice president for finance and operations and treasurer, presented the employment contract for an enterprise project manager; the transcript records the presentation but does not include salary or term specifics for that position. Lazell said the contract requires approval under Board Rule 302.
Chancellor Sid Trant presented the compensation proposal for the president-elect, saying he was “honored to bring forward to this committee the compensation proposal for our president-elect, Doctor Peter Moller, who is set to begin his tenure as president of the University of Alabama on 07/21/2025.” Trant recommended a starting base salary of $800,000 for the period ending Sept. 30, 2026; eligibility for a $75,000 performance bonus for calendar year 2025 and a targeted $150,000 performance bonus for calendar year 2026; and a one-time $30,000 relocation allowance.
The committee moved, seconded and approved both compensation items by voice vote. The transcript shows no amendments, roll-call tallies or substantive discussion of the enterprise project manager’s terms; the president-elect’s package was described with explicit dollar amounts and the planned start date.
The chair declared the item approved and adjourned the meeting.
