Ravalli County commissioners approve sewer-main transfer from Hamilton pending county attorney review

County staff notified the Ravalli County Board of County Commissioners on June 19 that the City of Hamilton had executed a transfer-of-ownership and sewer-main construction rebate-recovery agreement and that the document requires the county chair's signature and recording.

A county staff member recommended legal review before execution. "I would recommend we pass this over to county attorney and have him do a review before we execute it," the staff member said.

A motion was made and seconded to approve and execute the transfer of the sewer main from the City of Hamilton to Ravalli County upon the county attorney's review. The board then recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed. The agreement will be recorded after the county attorney completes his review and the county chair signs the document.

The transfer, as described by county staff, is consistent with prior discussions but was forwarded to the county attorney for confirmation of terms before final signature and recordation.
