The planning board endorsed a Form A plan July 9 to subdivide properties at 165 and 169 Grant Street (G‑5‑0050), leaving an existing multifamily dwelling on each resulting lot.
Staff noted the plan references a special permit (recording information included in plan notes) and that the submittal preserves the relief granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Board members discussed narrow lot widths in such subdivisions and emphasized the planning department’s practice of requiring separate utilities, corner staking and site plan review conditions where necessary to avoid shared service problems between front and rear buildings.
Beth Andrei moved approval; Michael Farias seconded. The board approved the Form A endorsement by roll call. The planning department said it will ensure plan notes show required property corner stakes and utility separations when recorded.
