Crowley ISD board approves consent agenda and several administrative hires

After returning from executive session, the Crowley ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda and voted to employ several administrative personnel, including assistant principals and a new executive director of finance.

Board President Gracia called for removals from the consent agenda; none were requested. Trustee June Davis moved to approve the consent agenda "as presented." The transcript records a second and states, "the motion passes."

On personnel items the board took these formal actions as recorded in the transcript:

- Agenda item 9.1: Trustee Stevenson moved to recommend Howard Robinson for assistant principal at Rich Alley Middle School; June Davis seconded and the transcript records that the motion passed.

- Agenda item 9.2: Trustee Watkins recommended Dr. Robin Matthews for assistant principal at David L. Walker Elementary School; June Davis seconded and the motion passed.

- Agenda item 9.3: Doctor Robinson recommended Lavinia Perkins for assistant principal at Bess Race Elementary School; June Davis seconded and the motion passed.

- Agenda item 9.4: Doctor Mayfield recommended Lindsay Blaine for executive director of finance; Trustee Davis seconded and the motion passed.

Board members and administrators welcomed newly introduced hires earlier in the meeting, including Karen Lopez (CMS assistant principal), Kenitra Johnson (assistant principal at Hargrave Elementary) and Dr. Shamika Milner Williams (new district administrator). Each of those individuals spoke briefly to thank the board and expressed enthusiasm for joining Crowley ISD.
